Budget Buddy is a household ledger. We do not sell your data. We do not connect to your bank. We do not show ads.
What we store
Your email, name, and sign-in (Apple, Google, X, or password). Paychecks, expenses, envelopes, and receipt photos you choose to keep in the app. That stays on your account so you can open it on another device.
What we do not collect
We do not collect bank passwords, precise location, contacts, or advertising IDs. We do not sell data or use it for ads. Camera is used only when you tap Scan. Photos are not saved to your device gallery unless you ask.
Data safety
Collected: email and name (account), financial info you type (pay and bills), photos you scan or upload (receipts). Used only to run your ledger. Encrypted in transit. You can export a copy (Gear → Export) or delete everything (Gear → Delete account). Google Play and Apple may process payment if you subscribe through their stores; we do not see your full card number.
Children
Budget Buddy is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13.
Delete
In the app: Gear → Account → Delete account. That removes your books and sign-in from our systems. If you subscribed through Apple or Google, cancel that subscription in their settings as well.
